Bands and Performers
Silicone Sister
Silicone Sister is a sight to see. The sisters are an 80′s hair metal cover band that dress up and have the stage image to the exact detail of the bands we all use to love. From wigs to spandex to pleather to leather, make up and Aqua Net (the purple can of mega hold) and the flashy Jackson guitars. It is a show that can’t be missed. Through many years of performing, they have put together a dedicated crowd of people anywhere from 18-50 that go out of their way to catch a show. Many shows, while covering Poison, Warrant, Firehouse, Dokken, White Lion, Van Halen, Ratt, Etc, one of there stage antics is to pass a bottle of Jack around the audience for free sips or gulps. Fog machines and crazy light shows are also a good bet to see while flailing guitar riffs are heard. So leave the kids at home and check them out one night. Chris and Christian (C2 Experience)
This duo made up of Chris Stevers (guitar) and Christian Young (keyboard/piano) have quickly become one of the islands favorites. While each has been playing music for years, they teamed up in the recent past and have not looked back. The C2 Experience got there break while playing at The Electric Piano (EP) every Saturday night to a capacity crowd. Their high energy stage presence and love for country and southern rock, mixed with their own flair keeps any crowd from sitting down. You can catch The C2 Experience every Friday night at the Brick Oven and you ‘ll be glad ya did. Find out much more at www.chrisstevers.com
The Free Shotz
Ahhhh, the good ol’ Free Shotz! Rockin out every song whether its a slow song or fast song. Where else can ya hear 99 Luft Balloons rocked out to the tempo of a punk rock song. Or “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” with wailing guitars and screamin’ lyrics. The Shotz have hit their mark with rock songs ya remember, but the way the free shotz want to do them. Definitely a must for the party band seeker. Highly entertaining and I must say that if you do go out to see them, be prepared to have a cab waiting for you. Gran Ma sales for some reason skyrocket at any venue they tear up. Jamming songs from AC/DC, to Poison, to Rage Against The Machine, to Cindy Lauper, there is something for everyone. The boys play at a host of locations but you can catch them every Wednesday at The Lodge and thursdays at Bluffton Wild Wings…You’ve been warned!!
Souls Harbor
What started out as just a way to pass time aboard an aircraft carrier by 2 of them (JON FENIN & DOUG MARSHALL) in the Marine Corps, became a passion that carries on today. Souls Harbor is a 5 peice alternative metal band from the Low Country of South Carolina. Their in your face, jaw dropping eye popping sound and performance is one that many people can relate to. When hooking up with up and coming producer Eric Bass from Charleston, SC and E. Rickert in late 2004, the band finally embraced a sound that was theirs and that was brought out of them by their producer. This ultimately gave Souls Harbor the recognision they have been working for. They have started to branch out and showcase their talents for many. Souls Harbor, comes from all different areas and backgrounds but they have created a sound that is edgy, melodic, WITH a heavy twist that involves each members musical upbringing. The band has been together for 6 years and running. Has branched out playing all over the Eastern seaboard, Southeast and Midwest and will continue to bring their passion to the masses. The lineup consists of Jon Fenin on lead guitar, Tony Bigley on rhythm guitar, Doug Marshall on vocals, Ryland Underwood on bass and backup vocals and the newest installment of Justin Long on drums. Check out their site for general info, new CD info, to listen to songs, and a vast list of tour dates/shows. Pop in and catch a show…you’ll be glad you did. www.myspace.com/soulsharbor

Reid Richmond
A man and his ax. Reid Richmond has been an Island favorite for years, and if your a local you are already familiar with his name. He has come to find his niche playing at local restaurants for happy hour and his Tuesday afternoon at the Tiki Hut. Wed – Fri he can be found at Scott’s Fish Market at 5:30 and late night Sunday at Hincheys Chicago Bar and Grill. I can pretty much garantee that if you close your eyes while he sings you will think you are at an Eagles concert. Yes, he sounds so close to Don Henley that the Eagles even have to look twice! Please visit his website, he has his complete schedule, play list and a great page for his Bio. www.reidrichmond.com
Kirk O’Leary
Kirk O’Leary is no stranger to the music scene. Playing local establishments with several artists and bands and even hosting some open mic nights from time to time. Although a full time Firefighter during the daylight, the happy hour and nightlife trades the fire/rescue equipment for an acoustic guitar and vocals. Kirk’s new catchy captcha is S.W.I.G (Short White Irish Guy), and with the last name of O’Leary he lives up to the nickname. Kirk O’ can be found every Tuesday from 8PM – 12PM at Bluffton Wild Wings, Fridays from 6PM – 10PM at The Tiki Hut, and Sundays at San Miguels in Shelter Cove Marina. Seek him out, catch a show and sing along. ( ps: he likes Irish Whiskey)
The Great Pretenders
A unique experience new to the low country, Ken Kolbe and Mike Palermo perform in and around the Bluffton-Hilton Head area. Combining two diverse styles, they perform songs from the 40’s to the present with special emphasis on Neil Diamond, Bobby Darin, Jimmy Buffett and then onto Mo-Town and Doo-Wop. The key to this group is that you have to want to have fun and you have to want to dance because audience participation is key! All shows start at 8PM and they can be reached at Kenneth.kolbe@uasc.net and at 912-257-2556 . Check em out!
Tommy Beaumont and Disco Fever
Lets see, if there was ever a band to come around with a fresh new look and playing music that seldom other bands do, Disco Fever is the band to kick it off. The band is new to the scene but the members have years of musical experience and knowledge. From the Mind of Tommy Beaumont, bringing together Ricky Stokes (guitar and vocals, Terri Beaumont on volcals and percussion, Christina Bucci on vocals, Lauren Castillo on vocals and also takes the roll of choreographing the moves. Tommy on the keyboard is a great site to see and hear, of course if you can take your eyes off of the ladies dancing in the glittery 70′s disco outfits. I recently caught there show at the Bluffton Downtown Festival and the band did NOT disappoint. They have a high energy stage show, disco lights and very flashy get-up. It’s very hard to sit in your seat to listen and watch due in part to the melody and groove just makes you wanna dance. For all the info on this dynamic group, please visit their website at www.tommybeaumont.com The site has all of there scheduled dates, biography, photos, songs, booking info and more. If you get the chance to catch them live? do it, you’ll be glad ya did.
